A new seven-story, 192-room hotel is now open in the Central West End, nestled among sidewalk cafés and shops and within walking distance of Forest Park.
AC Hotel St. Louis Central West End at 215 York Ave. is the first AC Hotels property in the area – a $44 million ground-up build by Koplar Properties in partnership with Homebase Partners and Concord Hospitality Enterprises. AC Hotels is a Marriott brand that includes more than 190 properties worldwide.
Located in the heart of the Central West End shopping district, the new hotel is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and more. It is also just a short walk away from the eastern edge of Forest Park, as well as Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals and others.
The 94,300-square-foot property includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, small meeting and event spaces, and a curated food and beverage program at the AC Kitchen and AC Lounge.
The hotel’s interior features European-inspired minimalist, sophisticated design from DLR Group, with modern touches such as natural wood and clean marble throughout the property. There’s also artwork from local artist John O’Hara, whose works are in public and private collections around the world, including designer Michael Kors’ showrooms in Milan, Paris, London and New York. O’Hara, a self-taught artist known for his abstract decorative art, was commissioned for a signature piece in the AC Kitchen and dining area of the hotel.
AC Hotel St. Louis Central West End officially opened Dec. 16, with reservations now available on the hotel’s website. There is a special Resident’s Rate for Missouri and Illinois guests with proof of residency.
