Patel, whose technique is inspired by artisan chocolate shops in Europe, was recognized among the Top 10 Chocolatiers in the Americas for two consecutive years. She has also earned a Grand Master Chocolatier designation for the past eight years.

Patel began making chocolate truffles as a way to relieve stress from her corporate job as an engineer, presenting them as last-minute holiday gifts to family and friends.
