With a week before Christmas, it’s time to start shopping for holiday food gifts – gifts designed to help make the holiday decadently delicious.

Here are my last-minute food picks for Gazelle readers who crave favorable gifts and treats to make the season merrier.

Sweet and Savory Luxury
The Holiday Pop-Up Shop at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, which debuted this season on the hotel’s eighth floor, features an assortment of sweet and savory gourmet gifts. Two standouts that top my list begins with the Chocolate Tree Centerpiece, a tree-shaped tower of chocolate orbs glazed in gold and white, and adorned with white chocolate snowflakes. There’s also a gingerbread version. On the savory side, consider the Cinder House Spice Rub Gift, which includes three homemade spice blends, a wooden cutting board shaped like Missouri, and a chef’s apron in traditional blue ticking stripe.

Old-Fashioned Cookies and Cream
Santa loves cookies and cream. Counted among his must-stop St. Louis shops is Nathaniel Reed Bakery where this year the assortment of old-fashioned cookies and bars have caught his eye. Great when paired with a scoop, a dish or a pint of one of this year’s special flavors at Clementine’s Naughty & Nice Ice Cream. Shop at the Clementine’s location on Macklind Avenue on Dec. 20, and you may catch Santa himself.

Locally grown from a family whose farm roots stretch back seven generations, Ella & Ollie Popcorn, offers five varieties: white, butterfly, two mushroom varieties, and its signature heritage style, each with its own unique flavor and texture.
