St. Louis County Library’s Jackie Hamilton Among Philanthropy Awards Honorees

The Association of Fundraising Professionals – St. Louis Regional Chapter has announced the recipients of this year’s National Philanthropy Day Awards.

Among them is 2023 Outstanding Fundraising Executive honoree Jackie Hamilton, assistant director of advancement for the St. Louis County Library.

The award honors fundraising executives who practice their profession exceptionally and uses their personal influence, time, talent and treasure to create a positive impact throughout the region.

In her role, Hamilton leads the St. Louis County Library Foundation’s efforts to build relationships and secure financial revenue to fund library programming and resources not funded by tax-payer dollars. Programs and resources include Born to Read, which program that connects early literacy resources with babies born in St. Louis County hospitals, the library’s nationally acclaimed author series, the Excel Online High School program and more.

Other award recipients include: Sara Paracha (Outstanding Emerging Professional), Rachel D’Souza (Changemaker), Barbara Silver (Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer), Sam Abeles (Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy) and Henry A. Jubel Foundation (Outstanding Philanthropist).

Honorees are nominated by members of the community for the work they do in our region and around the world. This year, National Philanthropy Day will recognize honorees at a breakfast event on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Marriott St. Louis Grand.
