Suspense, comedy and a holiday musical are among the highlights of the 2024-2025 season for the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep).
The Rep today announced the shows for its 58th season, which includes four world-class productions at the Loretto-Hilton Center.
The season kicks off with Frederick Knott’s suspense thriller, “Dial ‘M’ for Murder” (Sept. 18 to Oct. 13) featuring an all-local cast. The cat-and-mouse story of a meticulously planned murder that spirals into chaos is an edge-of-your-seat classic.
For the holidays, The Rep will present the St. Louis premiere of “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas” (Dec. 4 to 22), bringing back Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins in a festive jam session at Sun Records studio. The production will be performed in collaboration with STAGES St. Louis.
Next is the Tony-nominated comedy, “Clyde’s” (Feb. 5 to March 2, 2025), from two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Lynn Nottage. The most produced play of 2023, “Clyde’s” is the name of a truck-stop sandwich shop that becomes the unexpected spot for redemption, second chances and the quest for the perfect sandwich.
Closing out The Rep’s mainstage season is “Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood” (March 19 to April 13, 2025), Ken Ludwig’s retelling of the timeless tale of Robin and his band of outlaws. Filled with humor, a dash of romance and a swashbuckling journey through the enchanted forest, it’s a show the entire family will cheer for.
The Rep plans to announce the lineup for the Steve Woolf Studio Series in the Emerson Studio Theatre later this summer.
Subscription renewals begin March 21, with new subscription purchases available April 15. For more information and to find a full schedule of performances and programs, visit The Rep’s website.
