Ritzy afternoon teas, especially those staged at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, are a rite of spring. Add sparkling wine to the tea and it becomes an elevated occasion that’s not to be missed. The Ritz in Clayton recently added more dates its Bubbles & Bloom afternoon tea service.
“The Bubbles & Bloom tea service is the newest chapter at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, and it truly is an honor to re-energize the tea experience. This experience will be held in the Solarium, our beautiful outdoor space, featuring a selection of classic tea service accompaniments that will delight our guests. There’s not a better way to enjoy the mystique that spring in St. Louis has to offer than sipping Champagne over a leisurely afternoon tea,” said Ritz executive chef Yalcin Arslan.
Arslan is thrilled to oversee this beloved tradition and designed a delectable menu filled with traditional savory bites and afternoon tea favorites. Whimsical sweets come to life from the creative mind of pastry chef Jeanine Edmonds to enhance the menu that includes Baked Tomato Tarts, Dill Marinated Salmon Gravlax, Lavender Shortbread, and, of course, buttery Scones with Devonshire Cream.
Guests are invited to don their favorite floral frocks and fascinators for festive photo opportunities, partake in a build-your-own Bouquet Bar, and elevate their afternoon tea experience with a glass of bubbly, for an additional charge.
The remaining dates for Bubbles & Blooms are May 5 and May 19. And the good news: If you miss these teas, Bubbles & Bloom marks the beginning of The Ritz-Carlton’s initiative to present creatively appointed afternoon tea services throughout the calendar year. The next series theme is al fresco teas at Casa Don Alfonso. Reservations are required for Bubbles & Blooms.
